Dental Implant Supported Dentures

Implant Supported Dentures – Full Mouth Solutions

Healthy and sufficient bone is required for any dental implant procedure.  Dr. Keenan will first verify that you have enough bone for dental implants.  If there is significant bone loss you may be a candidate for bone grafting in order to provide enough bone in your jaw to sustain the implant.  With the newest technology, implant support dentures can be removable or fixed.  Fixed is referred to as an Implant Supported Fixed Bridge.  At your consult Dr. Keenan will review your individual recommended treatment.   During the implant supported denture process, Dr. Keenan will work directly with your denturist to achieve a comfortable and functional smile.

Implant Supported Removable Dentures

Many people that wear complete upper and lower dentures are unhappy with them.  Lower dentures never fit or feel like natural teeth.  The good news is that dentures retained by dental implants can solve this problem. Implant supported dentures provide tremendous support and fixation so eating, speaking and smiling is more comfortable.  Patients with loose lower dentures are great candidates.

Implant Supported Full Arch Fixed Denture / Bridge

This treatment concept replaces your missing teeth with a full dental bridge supported by as few as four dental implants.. With less implants needed, overall treatment time is reduced. This unique solution also ensures greater stability in the bone, reducing the need for bone graft surgery to increase bone volume.

Typically, your dentist can place temporary provisional teeth on the same day after treatment.  These provisional teeth look and feel much like natural teeth, and you can lead a normal life immediately after surgery.  After a few weeks healing time, your final bridge can be placed.  Your quality of life is improved, and you can start enjoying your favorite foods again.
